The wettest area of central Africa
September... its not the best time to be in central Africa. It's raining all day, incredible hot, and the air contains 96% humidity. Not good for your health, and specially not good for your equipment.
As you get off the air-conditioned plane at Douala, the humid hot hits you in the face right at the airport. I got out in the luggage area, and saw the chaos... people all over, grabbing luggages, running around with them. I realised that only one plane was landing at that time... so how come that the luggage area was full with people?! Most of them where porters... paying some money to the guards to let them in. People started to come at me and offer their services. I take your bag sir, and tried to grab it out of my hand. Well Africa this is how things are working, no surprise, just the average stress.. what if your tripod, or bag gets stolen?
